Patna: Samajwadi Party (SP) president Akhilesh Yadav has officially begun his campaign tour for the Bihar Assembly Elections 2025, rallying support for candidates of the INDIA alliance. His four-day visit, from November 2 to November 5, will cover several key districts across the state.
During this period, Yadav will address multiple public meetings and urge voters to back the alliance for what he describes as “a new direction for Bihar.”
Akhilesh Yadav kicked off his campaign on Saturday, holding his first public meeting at Dhamdaha constituency in Purnia district at 12:15 pm. He later addressed rallies in Baburaahi (Madhubani) at 1:30 pm and Bahadurpur (Darbhanga) at 2:30 pm.

On Sunday, the SP chief will hold more rallies across central and northern Bihar, including Sarai Ranjan (Samastipur)at 12:15 pm, Sitamarhi at 1:30 pm, and Chhapra (Saran district) at 2:30 pm. His campaign will continue until November 5, covering several other constituencies viewed as crucial for the INDIA alliance.
Political observers note that Yadav’s Bihar visit carries significant weight for the opposition bloc, which aims to consolidate anti-incumbency votes against the ruling coalition.

Appealing to the public, Akhilesh Yadav urged voters to support the INDIA bloc’s candidates for the sake of Bihar’s future. “This election is not just another state contest it is a vote for change,” he said during one of his rallies. “We need to bring in a new leadership and a new direction for Bihar. Every vote for the INDIA alliance is a vote for hope and transformation.”
