Bihar: NHRC issues notice to Samastipur DM, SP and CEC over viral election song by minor

Patna: National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) has issueed notice to Samastipur District Magistrate (DM), Superintendent of Police (SP) and the Chief Election Commissioner over a viral election song allegedly featuring minor children being used to sing and speak political slogans.

The Commission has sought an Action Taken Report within two weeks, citing concerns over the exploitation of children’s innocence for political gain.

The 2025 Bihar Assembly elections will be held in two phases. The Election Commission has announced three dates for Bihar's political landscape. The first was November 6th, when the first phase of voting has already taken place.

The second date is tomorrow, November 11th, when the next and second phases of voting will take place. Counting will take place on November 14th to determine who will form the government in Bihar. All parties in Bihar held massive rallies before the second phase of voting.
