Bihar Polls: Fate of 17 Ministers, including two Dy CMs to be decided in 1st Phase

Patna: The voting for the 18th Bihar Assembly will be held in two phases on 6 and 11 November. The first phase will cover 121 seats in 18 districts, and the second phase 122 seats in 20 districts. A total of 2616 candidates are contesting for 243 Assembly seats in the two phases, of which 1085 are contesting for the first time, reports Dynamite News correspondent.

In the first phase the fate of 17 Ministers including to Deputy Chief Ministers Samrat Chaudhary and Vijay Kumar Sinha, is at stake. The first phase election will be held on 6 November.

Of the 17 Ministers 11 are from the BJP and the remaining 6 are from the JDU quota.

Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary is contesting from the Tarapur Assembly Constituency in Munger district, while Vijay Kumar Sinha, the other Deputy Chief Minister, is contesting from Lakhisarai.
