Patna: Ahead of Bihar Assembly polls, Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader Tejashwi Yadav and Mahagathbandhan CM candidate today unvieled major poll promises for Panchayat representatives and small workers, reports Dynamite News correspondent.
Tejashwi Yadav said, “INDIA bloc, if voted to power, will double the allowances of the representatives of Bihar’s Panchayati Raj system.”
Yadav was addressing a presser at his residence today on Sunday. The Supremo of Vikassheel Insaan Party (VIP) and the Mahagathbandhan Deputy Chief Ministerial face Mukesh Sahani was seated next to Yadav.
He said, “Representatives of panchayats and Gram Kachahari (village courts) had been demanding pension benefits. We have decided that they will receive a pension. They would also enjoy a Rs 50 lakh insurance coverage. We will also hike the margin of those working as part of the public distribution network.”
On an earlier occasion RJD leader has made a number of announcement including the Mai-Behin Maan Yojana, Har Ghar Naukri, Jeevika, and state employee status to contract workers.
At the press conference Tejashwi Yadav said “We have all come here today to make some announcements. We have not harmed anyone. No one has any complaints against Tejashwi. The people gave the NDA 20 years. We only ask for 20 months. I have full faith in the people of Bihar that this time there will be change and a new government will be formed under the leadership of the Grand Alliance….”
