‘NDA Will Be Ousted if Bihar Polls Are Free and Fair,’ claims Priyanka Gandhi

Patna: On the day of the first phase of voting for the Bihar Assembly elections 2025, Congress General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra launched a scathing attack on the NDA government at an election rally. She said that if the elections in Bihar are held in a free and fair manner, the people will remove the NDA government from power and elect a government that will work in the interest of the poor, women, and youth. She said that BJP leaders ask for votes from the public in the name of religion while diverting attention from development issues. She also said that if the people vote consciously this time, a government will be formed in Bihar that will prioritize the rights and needs of the people. Criticism of Weak Infrastructure and Collapsed Bridges The Congress leader also criticized the NDA government for the poor infrastructure in Bihar. She claimed that 27 bridges have collapsed in Bihar in the last three years, which is a symbol of the government's negligence. Priyanka said that the people of Bihar should now get rid of a government that only makes promises instead of delivering on development. Appeal to Voters to Save Democracy Immediately after the start of voting, Priyanka Gandhi also appealed to the voters of Bihar on the social media platform X (Twitter). She wrote – “My dear brothers, sisters, mothers, and youth of Bihar! Today your future is in your hands. Come out in large numbers and vote in this great festival of democracy.” She said that people should vote for employment, education, health, and a bright future. She also called for the protection of democracy and the constitution. Voting on 121 Seats in the First Phase According to a report, voting is being held on 121 seats in 18 districts in the first phase of the Bihar Assembly elections. Voting will continue from 7 am to 5 pm. In this phase, approximately 37.5 million voters will decide the fate of a total of 1,314 candidates.
