New Delhi: The pairing of Akshay Kumar and director Priyadarshan has come together again after almost 14 years. The duo's new film Bhoot Bangla has been released, and this film has started doing well at the box office since its release. The audience is liking this film a lot.
The film made huge earnings in its first weekend itself. Its collection reached approximately Rs 58 crore in the first three days themselves. The film earned around Rs 16 crore on the first day (including paid previews), Rs 19 crore on the second day, and a huge collection of Rs 23 crore on the third day, i.e., Sunday.
The earnings of films usually fall on Mondays, but Bhoot Bangla performed well here too. On the fourth day, i.e., the first Monday, the film earned approximately Rs 6.75 crore. With this, the total Bharat net collection of the film reached around Rs 64.75 crore.
On the other hand, there is a continuous decline in the earnings of Dhurandhar 2. On the fifth Monday, the film did a business of only Rs 1.62 crore. This figure is much less than that of Bhoot Bangla, which clearly shows that the newly released film has affected the pace of the old film.
The theater occupancy of both films was also revealed on Monday. Bhoot Bangla's occupancy was around 14%, while Dhurandhar 2's occupancy was around 13.1%. Although both the films saw a decline, the new film is still performing slightly better.
Artists like Vamika Gabbi, Rajpal Yadav, Paresh Rawal, and Asrani are seen with Akshay Kumar in Bhoot Bangla. It is a horror-comedy film, which gives a mixture of laughter and fear to the audience.
Dhurandhar 2 has big stars like Ranveer Singh, Sara Arjun, Akshay Khanna, Sanjay Dutt, and R. Madhavan, but due to its long release, its earnings have declined.
Overall, Bhoot Bangla has made a strong start at the box office and has put pressure on older films. Whereas the pace of Dhurandhar 2 seems to be slowing down. The situation of both films will become more clear in the coming days.
