Awarapan 2 First Song 'Ve Junoon' Out (Img: Dynamite News)
Mumbai: The makers of Awarapan 2 have released the film's first song, Ve Junoon, offering audiences a glimpse into the emotional relationship between Emraan Hashmi and Disha Patani's characters.
The track reunites composer Mithoon, lyricist Sayeed Quadri and producer Vishesh Bhatt, the creative team behind several memorable songs from the 2007 film Awarapan.
Released by Vishesh Films and Sony Music India, Ve Junoon marks the singing debut of Subodhh Sharma. A sound engineer for over a decade, Sharma was discovered after producer Vishesh Bhatt came across one of his performances on Instagram.
The song follows the emotional journey of Shivam Pandit, exploring themes of love, heartbreak, fear and inner conflict while setting the mood for the story.
Mithoon has composed the music for the track, while Sayeed Quadri has penned the lyrics. Speaking about the collaboration, Mithoon said the team wanted a voice capable of expressing vulnerability as well as emotional strength, adding that Subodhh Sharma's natural sincerity made him the right choice for the song.
Producer Vishesh Bhatt described the music of Awarapan as an emotional memory for many audiences and said bringing Mithoon and Quadri back together was essential for the sequel. He also praised Subodhh Sharma's raw vocal quality, saying it added authenticity to the composition.
Presented by Vishesh Films and Mukesh Bhatt, Awarapan 2 is directed by Nitin Kakkar and written by Bilal Siddiqi. Besides Emraan Hashmi and Disha Patani, the film also stars Shabana Azmi, Suvinder Vicky, Vijayant Kohli, Atul Kumar and Aniruddh Rawal.
Awarapan 2 is scheduled to release in cinemas worldwide on August 14, 2026.
