The re-release of Baahubali: The Epic has earned impressive worldwide revenue, especially in Telugu. However, its Hindi audience contribution remains limited, highlighting the importance of regional support for making a blockbuster re-release truly successful.

Record-Breaking Opening for Re-release
New Delhi: Prabhas and S.S. Rajamouli's film, Baahubali: The Epic, has become the fifth highest-grossing film during its re-release. It has also become the highest-grossing re-released film in terms of opening weekend collections.
The film performed well worldwide in its first weekend, even surpassing new releases in India like Thama and Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat.
‘Baahubali: The Epic’ Box Office Collection Day 2: Can Rajamouli’s re-release break records again?
Although the worldwide collection is impressive, the Hindi audience did not support the film as much as expected. According to Sacnilk data, the film earned only ₹1.35 crore on the first day, ₹1.55 crore on the second day, and ₹1.6 crore on the third day in Hindi.
In contrast, the Telugu version earned ₹9.05 crore, ₹4.9 crore, and ₹3.6 crore respectively in the first three days.
The film's collection clearly shows that people are watching it more in the language it was originally made in. Collections in Kannada, Tamil, and Malayalam were quite limited, remaining in the lakhs.
Day 1 box office collection was 10.4 crore in India.
The example of Baahubali 2 shows how crucial the support of the Hindi audience is. In 2017, Baahubali 2 earned ₹510.99 crore in Hindi and a total of ₹1030.42 crore in India. Support from the Hindi audience is essential for this re-release to become a superhit again.
In three days, the film has earned ₹39.75 crore worldwide, according to Sacnilk. This shows that international audiences have appreciated the film considerably. Now, the film's long-term success will depend on future data.
