New Delhi: The makers of Batwara 1947 have released the film's second teaser, offering a more detailed glimpse into the emotional and historical backdrop of the upcoming period drama. Produced under the banner of Aamir Khan Productions, the film stars Sunny Deol in the lead role alongside Preity Zinta, Shabana Azmi, Ali Fazal and Karan Deol.
The latest teaser focuses on the devastating impact of the 1947 Partition, portraying scenes of displacement, violence and the suffering endured by ordinary families during one of the most turbulent chapters in the subcontinent's history.

The teaser opens with emotionally charged visuals featuring Preity Zinta, Ali Fazal and Shabana Azmi as they confront the chaos unfolding around them. It then shifts focus to Sunny Deol's character, Sikandar Mirza, who delivers a powerful dialogue expressing resilience in the face of fear and violence.
The teaser also includes several action sequences, suggesting that the film will combine emotional storytelling with intense dramatic moments.
Batwara 1947 is based on celebrated playwright Asghar Wajahat's renowned work Jis Lahore Nai Dekhya O Jamyai Nai, which explores the human relationships and emotional aftermath of India's Partition in 1947.
The film's music has been composed by A.R. Rahman, while the lyrics have been written by veteran lyricist Javed Akhtar.

Batwara 1947 is scheduled for a theatrical release on August 14, 2026, just ahead of Independence Day.
Following the success of Gadar 2 and his recent box-office releases, Sunny Deol will next be seen in Batwara 1947, with additional projects including Gabru and another untitled action film currently in the pipeline
