New Delhi: Bhooth Bangla took a stellar start at the box office upon its release. The pairing of Akshay Kumar and Priyadarshan made a comeback after 14 years, which was very much liked by the audience. The film crossed the Rs 50 crore mark in the very first weekend, which shows its strong start.
The film earned around Rs 16 crore on the first day (including paid previews), Rs 19 crore on the second day, and Rs 23 crore on the third day. In this way, the film earned approximately Rs 54 crore in the first three days.
Usually the earnings of films reduce after the weekend, and the same happened with Bhooth Bangla. On the fourth day, i.e., Monday, the film's earnings remained at Rs 6.75 crore, which was much less than Sunday.
There was a slight further decline in the earnings on the fifth day, i.e., Tuesday, and the film earned approximately Rs 5.98 crore. Although this decline is considered normal, now the real test of the film lies in the weekdays.
Despite the decline in earnings, the film has achieved a major feat. The worldwide collection of Bhooth Bangla has crossed Rs 100 crore.
In India, the net collection of the film has reached around 70.73 crores, and the gross collection has reached around 84 crores. The film has earned around Rs 29 crore in foreign countries also. Overall the film has earned more than Rs 106 crore worldwide.
In this film, actors like Paresh Rawal, Rajpal Yadav, Asrani, Manoj Joshi, and Vamika Gabbi are seen along with Akshay Kumar. It is a horror-comedy film, which has a good mix of laughter and fear.
The story of the film revolves around a haunted palace and a mysterious power. Like Priyadarshan's old films, there is a fun combination of comedy and suspense in it.
Now everyone's eyes are on how Bhooth Bangla earns in the coming days. If the film remains stable during the weekday and bounces back next weekend, it can easily touch big figures.
