New Delhi: Bhooth Bangla has had a great start at the box office since its release. This film of the horror-comedy genre may have received mixed reviews, but a good number of viewers are reaching the theater. The special thing is that despite the IPL season, the film has attracted the family audience.
The film has made huge earnings in the first three days. After earning Rs 3.75 crore from paid previews, it collected Rs 12.25 crore on the first day, Rs 19 crore on the second day and Rs 23 crore on the third day. In this way, Bhooth Bangla earned a total of Rs 58 crore (net) and approximately Rs 69.37 crore (gross) in three days.
After the weekend, a decline in the film's earnings was seen on Monday, which is common. By 5 pm on the fourth day, the film collected around Rs 2.09 crore. There may be a slight increase by the end of the day, but there was no surge like the weekend.
On Monday, the occupancy of the film was recorded at around 12%, which is less than the weekend. While the crowd of spectators was more on the weekend, due to it being a working day, the number of spectators that reached the theater was less.
The film is performing well abroad also. By the third day its overseas collection has reached Rs 28.50 crore. With this, the total worldwide collection of the film has reached around Rs 97.87 crore, which means it can soon join the 100 crore club.
Bhooth Bangla is directed by Priyadarshan. This film has brought the pairing of her and Akshay Kumar together again after a long time. Actors like Tabu, Paresh Rawal, and Rajpal Yadav also play important roles in the film.
Overall, Bhooth Bangla has taken a strong start at the box office. If its earnings remain stable in the coming days, then this film can prove to be a big hit.
