Cannes: Bollywood icons Sharmila Tagore and Simi Garewal enthralled global audiences with their poised presence at the 2025 Cannes Film Festival, bringing a touch of vintage glamour and cinematic heritage to the prestigious event, reports Dynamite News correspondent.

The duo attended a special screening of Satyajit Ray's seminal work "Aranayer Din Ratri" (Days and Nights in the Forest), which was featured in the Cannes Classics section, a curated showcase honouring timeless cinematic gems.

The film, originally released in 1970, was reintroduced to international audiences in English, offering a renewed appreciation for Ray's nuanced storytelling. The premiere was presented by famous Hollywood director Wes Anderson.

Sharmila Tagore was seen on the red carpet in a muted emerald saree, her ensemble exuding regal restraint and quiet sophIstication. Simi Garewal arrived in her signature all-white ensemble, a flowing gown that epitomised sophistication and grace.
