Mumbai Crime Branch has issued a lookout circular against alleged gangster associate Harry Boxer in connection with a threat and ₹20 crore extortion demand targeting Ranveer Singh. The threatening voice note, reportedly sent from a US number, was verified with agencies in Punjab and Haryana.

Mumbai: The Mumbai Crime Branch has taken major action in the case of threats received by Bollywood actor Ranveer Singh. During the investigation, a lookout circular (LOC) has been issued against Harichandra alias Harry Boxer, an alleged member of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang. This action was taken after confirming a threatening voice note and ransom demand received by the actor's manager.
According to the police, a voice note was sent to Ranveer Singh's manager's WhatsApp number, identifying himself as 'Harry Boxer' and demanding a ransom of ₹20 crore. The investigation revealed that the voice note was sent from an American phone number.

After an initial investigation, the voice sample was sent to agencies in Punjab and Haryana for verification. According to officials, the voice sample was confirmed to be that of Harry Boxer, following which a case was registered.
Sources say that the accused is associated with the notorious Lawrence Bishnoi gang. Film personalities have received threats from this gang before. Police are also investigating whether the threats are an organized conspiracy by the gang.
The Mumbai Crime Branch has also contacted US authorities to gather technical information about the foreign number used to send the threats. Investigating agencies are examining call details, Internet Protocol addresses, and other digital evidence to identify the accused's location and network.

According to reports, Ranveer Singh received a threatening voice note after the firing incident at the filmmaker's house on February 2. An FIR was registered in this regard on February 17. Police say the accused made several calls and issued threats.
The actor's security has been increased following the incident. Mumbai Police have clarified that due to the seriousness of the matter, every aspect is being thoroughly investigated. After the issuance of LOC, now if the accused tries to enter the country, he can be immediately detained.
