Criminal Justice 4: Know what Pankaj Tripathi thinks about Madhav Mishra

Mumbai: Renowned Bollywood actor Pankaj Tripathi says that his character of Madhav Mishra in the Criminal Justice franchise is so close to his heart.

Pankaj Tripathi once again returns to play the lovable lawyer Madhav Mishra in JioHotstar’s series Criminal Justice: A Family Matter.

The season, directed by Rohan Sippy and produced by Applause Entertainment in association with BBC Studios India, is streaming on JioHotstar from May 29. The season features talented actors like Mohammad Zeeshan Ayub, Surveen Chawla, Asha Negi, Khushboo Atre, Barkha Singh, Atma Prakash Mishra as well as Mita Vashisht and Shweta Basu Prasad in lead roles.

For Pankaj Tripathi, acting has not been just a performance but a spiritual connection. Over the years, he has portrayed many characters with depth and truth, but Madhav Mishra from Criminal Justice is one character that has been very close to his heart.

Pankaj Tripathi said, Madhav Mishra is very close to my heart because in many ways his journey matches my own. We both came from the simplicity of Bihar, came to Mumbai with big dreams, started with small roles or cases and made our place with hard work and dedication. This similarity makes playing Madhav natural for me, as every time I get into his character, it becomes a part of my own story.

Pankaj Tripathi said, Criminal Justice is an interesting legal drama that deeply shows the complexities of the courtroom and the human side of the law. Usually, there is less scope for humor in legal stories, but the spontaneous, situational humor in Madhav Mishra’s personality keeps the audience engaged, lightens the heavy moments and makes the story even more emotionally deep and heart-touching.
