Mumbai: JioHotstar announced the return of its landmark legal drama - Criminal Justice. The season 4 of the franchise show will bring to audiences an intriguing case with veteran actor Pankaj Tripathi returning as Madhav Mishra, filled with his trademark wit and indomitable grit.
A torrid love affair and an unforeseen murder at hand, this time around the stakes are higher.
JioHotstar shared a post on Instagram, states, 'Straightforward and simple are not in Madhav Mishra's syllabus. Your favorite lawyer sahab is coming back to the courtroom!'
Directed by Rohan Sippy, Produced by Applause Entertainment in association with BBC Studios, Criminal Justice Season 4 is set to stream May 22 onwards, exclusively on JioHotstar.
With a bigger, bolder and gripping case at the forefront, a stronger ensemble comes together to bring to masses an entertaining drama series starring; Mohammed Zeeshan Ayyub, Surveen Chawla, Mita Vashisht, Asha Negi, Shweta Basu Prasad, Khushboo Atre and Barkha Singh in pivotal roles.
Director Rohan Sippy said, “It was an absolute delight to get an opportunity to return to work with Pankaj Tripathi, who has made the courtroom warrior Madhav Mishra such an unforgettable character… and yet again this season brings in a powerful new cast as well, who play off him brilliantly and shape a unique legal dramatic thriller that audiences will really engage with.”

Talking about his character, actor Tripathi said, “Criminal Justice feels like homecoming to me. Criminal Justice started with its first season in 2018 that was adapted from the 2008 British television series of the same name.
The second season, titled Criminal Justice: Behind Closed Doors came out in 2020, followed by the third chapter, titled Criminal Justice: Adhura Sach, in 2022.
