New Delhi: Ranveer Singh's film "Dhurandhar 2" had a blockbuster debut at the box office. While the first film had gained momentum slowly, its sequel was a record-breaking success from day one. The film nearly crossed the ₹100 crore mark on opening day, signaling its potential to become a blockbuster.

Crossing ₹1500 crore mark in 15 days

The film has collected a staggering ₹1501 crore worldwide in just 15 days. Its net collection at the Indian box office has reached ₹961 crore, while the gross collection has reached ₹1134 crore. The film has earned ₹367 crore in the overseas market so far. Significantly, the majority of the film's earnings have come from the Hindi belt.

Set a record in the first week

"Dhurandhar 2" grossed ₹690 crore in India in its first week. The film's earnings continued even after that. Earnings of ₹42 crore were recorded on the 9th day, ₹64 crore on the 10th day, ₹71 crore on the 11th day, ₹26 crore on the 12th day, ₹28 crore on the 13th day, ₹21 crore on the 14th day, and ₹19 crore on the 15th day. These figures indicate that the film is consistently maintaining a strong hold at the box office.

Breaking 'Dangal' Record Isn't Easy

The biggest question now is whether 'Dhurandhar 2' will be able to break Aamir Khan's 'Dangal'? 'Dangal' remains one of the highest-grossing films in Indian cinema. Meanwhile, South Indian films like 'Baahubali 2' and 'Pushpa 2' have also set significant records.

Limited Release in the South

The film was also released in South India, but it wasn't particularly successful elsewhere except in the Telugu market. Despite this, the film has done well on the strength of Hindi audiences.

Eye on the Weekend

All eyes are now on the film's collection this weekend. If the earnings continue at this pace, 'Dhurandhar 2' could soon join the 1000 crore club in India. The film's success has once again proven Ranveer Singh's star power.
