The spy thriller, directed by Aditya Dhar, will premiere on Netflix India on Friday, January 30, according to an official update on the streaming platform.
Released in cinemas on December 5 last year, Dhurandhar witnessed an unprecedented response from audiences across India and overseas. Its worldwide gross crossed ₹1300 crore, placing it among the highest-grossing Indian films of all time.
Sunil Shetty Hails Ranveer Singh’s ‘Dhurandhar’, Calls His Performance Extraordinary
Netflix India has updated the film’s page with a “Coming on Friday” notification, allowing subscribers to set reminders ahead of its digital release.
With its massive earnings, Dhurandhar entered an elite club of Indian films that have crossed the ₹1000-crore mark in India. The only other films to achieve this feat are Baahubali 2: The Conclusion, KGF: Chapter 2, and Pushpa 2: The Rule. However, Dhurandhar remains the sole Bollywood entry on that list, underlining its extraordinary success.
Trade analysts credit the film’s gripping narrative, scale, and Ranveer Singh’s performance for its sustained run at the box office.
Dhurandhar revolves around an Indian intelligence operative sent on a dangerous undercover mission in Pakistan’s Lyari region to infiltrate a powerful Baloch gang. Ranveer Singh essays the role of Hamza Ali Mazari, also known as Jaskirat Singh Rangi, while Akshaye Khanna plays the formidable gang leader Rehman Dakait.

Riding on the film’s massive success, the makers have already announced Dhurandhar 2, which is slated to release on March 19, 2026, coinciding with Eid. The sequel will release in Hindi and all major South Indian languages and is expected to clash with Yash-starrer Toxic: A Fairytale For Grown-Ups.
With its Netflix release, Dhurandhar is now poised to reach an even wider global audience, extending its record-breaking run beyond the big screen.
