Mumbai: Punjabi singing superstar Diljit Dosanjh and Rishab Shetty of Kantara fame are coming together for the much-awaited film Kantara: Chapter 1. The film is a prequel to Kantara, which will be released on Dussehra and Gandhi Jayanti in 2025.
Diljit Dosanjh has recorded a special song for this pan-India film. The recording took place at YRF Studios (Andheri) in Mumbai, and it is being said that the song was completed in a single day.
Diljit and Rishab shared a joint post on Instagram in which the two actors were seen hugging each other and meeting each other warmly. After this, both of them took part in a musical session and also had a fun conversation at the end of the day.

Diljit Dosanjh revealed that when he watched Kaantara for the first time, he was moved to tears when he heard the song 'Varaha Roopam' in the climax. He wrote: "With big brother @rishabshettyofficial. Salute to this man who created a masterpiece like Kaantara. I have a personal connection with this film that I can't explain. But when the song 'Varaha Roopam' played in the theater, I cried with joy."

The film stars Rishab Shetty, Rukmini Vasanth, Sapthami Gowda, and Gulshan Devaiah in lead roles. The film will release on October 2, 2025, on the occasion of Dussehra and Gandhi Jayanti. The film will clash with Varun Dhawan and Janhvi Kapoor's Sunny Sanskari's Tulsi Kumari at the box office.
