Mumbai: Comedian Pranit More, who has come up with his special show titled 'Ghayal', is back on track, but he is already embroiled in another controversy.

It's been months since he has had an uproar in social media for his ‘₹370 biryani controversy’, but now he has announced his new comedy special, which he says is all about his journey from the ordeal.

He stated in his announcement, “I cannot change what’s happened, but I can choose how I grow from it. Ghayal is the story of that journey.”

Controversial Viral Video Which Shifted the Narrative

A controversy erupted when a video snippet from a show of Pranit More became viral online. In the course of the video, an audience member made the comment that he had spent close to ₹370 on chicken biryani on a date and expected to receive something in return.

His comment elicited anger among many social media users who felt that Pranit should have intervened and challenged the insensitive and misogynistic comment being made by the audience member.

Soon, the controversy moved out of the online sphere as a case was filed against the comment with Maharashtra Cyber Police, and even the National Commission for Women noticed the matter.

Pranit later apologized and said that he regretted his response at that point of time.

Announcement of 'Ghayal' Sparking Up Samay Raina’s Comeback Strategy?

Right after the release of the news about Pranit’s return to acting via a special movie titled Ghayal, many users found a resemblance between the news and Samay Raina’s comeback.

Even in the face of all the criticism, fans showed their enthusiasm about the comeback of Pranit More and also appreciated him for making a tough time into something creative.

In “Ghayal”, Pranit More is trying to make his most controversial period into a tale of recovery and coming back to people.
