New Delhi: The trailer of the much-awaited Netflix film Ikka was unveiled on Monday at a grand event in Mumbai, offering a first look at the intense courtroom drama starring Sunny Deol and Akshaye Khanna.

The trailer launch was attended by Sunny Deol, Dia Mirza, Tillotama Shome and director Siddharth P. Malhotra. However, Akshaye Khanna was absent from the event.

The film marks Sunny Deol’s debut in the streaming space and brings together an ensemble cast for a story built around justice, personal conflicts and emotional struggles.

Dia Mirza Reveals Her Nervous Moment With Akshaye Khanna

During the trailer launch, Dia Mirza shared a light-hearted moment while discussing a scene where she slaps Akshaye Khanna in the film.

She jokingly expressed concern about facing reactions from his fans, saying she was nervous because of the actor’s huge popularity. The scene has also been included in the trailer, making it one of the talking points among viewers.

Director Siddharth P. Malhotra revealed that the slap scene was actually Dia’s first scene with Akshaye in the film. Sunny Deol then stepped in with a humorous response, reminding her that she plays his wife in the movie, leaving the audience cheering.

Trailer Shows A Battle Between Justice And Morality

The trailer introduces Sunny Deol’s character Arjun Mehra, a lawyer known for standing up for the innocent. His character takes up the case of Akshaye Khanna’s accused character, leading to a tense legal battle.

The story unfolds around a difficult deal involving justice, personal relationships and moral choices. Tillotama Shome plays a strong public prosecutor, while Dia Mirza portrays a woman trying to hold her family together during a major crisis.

Ikka Arrives On Netflix In July

Talking about the project, director Siddharth P. Malhotra said the film explores courtroom drama along with human relationships and emotional dilemmas.

Produced by Alchemy Films, Ikka is directed by Siddharth P. Malhotra and stars Sunny Deol, Akshaye Khanna, Dia Mirza and Tillotama Shome.

The film is scheduled to premiere on Netflix on July 10, bringing a new chapter in Sunny Deol’s career with his first major streaming release.
