Mumbai: Rajinikanth fans have another reason to celebrate ahead of Jailer 2’s theatrical release. The makers have announced that the special promotional event, Jailer 2 Super Show, will be available to watch online on Sun NXT from October 9, just days before the film reaches cinemas.
The Jailer 2 Super Show is part of the film’s promotional campaign and will give fans a closer look at the much-awaited sequel. The event, which features Rajinikanth and members of the film’s team, will stream exclusively on Sun NXT from October 9.
The digital premiere comes six days before Jailer 2 opens in theatres, making it an important part of the makers’ final promotional push. The announcement has added to the anticipation surrounding the film, particularly among Rajinikanth’s massive fan base.
Directed by Nelson Dilipkumar, Jailer 2 brings Rajinikanth back as the iconic Muthuvel Pandian following the success of the 2023 action entertainer Jailer. The sequel features an ensemble cast that includes Mohanlal, Shiva Rajkumar, Mithun Chakraborty, Vidya Balan, S J Suryah, Suraj Venjaramoodu and Ramya Krishnan.
Anirudh Ravichander has composed the music for the sequel, while Sun Pictures is backing the project. The film is scheduled for a worldwide theatrical release on October 15, 2026.
The makers have opted for a different promotional strategy this time. Instead of a traditional grand audio launch, the film has featured a more selective music event and is also set to have a special three-hour television appearance by Rajinikanth on Sun TV on October 11.
With the Super Show arriving online on October 9 and the film following in theatres on October 15, the makers are keeping the excitement high in the final countdown.
