Kapil Sharma threatened with extortion demand of Rs 1 crore; Accused arrested

Mumbai: A case of threat and extortion has been reported against famous comedian Kapil Sharma. The Mumbai Crime Branch has arrested the accused during the investigation. According to police, the accused is a resident of West Bengal and called Kapil Sharma seven times, threatening him. The accused demanded a ransom of 1 crore rupees. Kapil Sharma Received Threatening Calls Police reported that Kapil Sharma received a series of threatening calls on September 22nd and 23rd. The accused made threats not only from a single number but also from multiple numbers. He also sent videos to intimidate Kapil. The accused attempted to extort money using the names of well-known gangsters Rohit Godara and Goldy Brar. Police are currently investigating any gangster connections in this case. He was arrested from West Bengal and brought to Mumbai. The accused was detained for questioning and produced before the Esplanade Court, where he was remanded to police custody until September 30. Investigation into Gangster Connections Continues Police are now trying to determine whether Dilip Chaudhary is actually connected to gangsters Rohit Godara and Goldy Brar or was simply using their names to threaten people. These gangsters' names were recently in the news. Rohit Godara and Goldy Brar also claimed responsibility for the firing at Bollywood actress Disha Patani's house in Bareilly. Consequently, it is feared that the accused was using the gangsters' names to extort money.
