Mumbai: Bollywood filmmaker and host Karan Johar has announced that his popular celebrity chat show Koffee With Karan will return for one final season. After nearly two decades of celebrity conversations, viral moments, controversies and headline-making revelations, the iconic talk show is set to conclude with Season 9.
The final season of Koffee With Karan will premiere on JioHotstar on October 14, bringing back the famous couch, candid celebrity conversations, rapid-fire rounds and the much-loved coffee hampers.
Karan Johar shared the promo of the upcoming season on social media, hinting that the final edition will be an emotional farewell to a show that has been a major part of Bollywood’s pop culture landscape.
“I think we need to talk. Over Koffee, of course,” Karan wrote while announcing the new season.
The promo takes viewers back to the beginning of the show in 2004, when Karan first discussed the idea of hosting a talk show with his father, filmmaker Yash Johar. The concept of a celebrity chat format was unconventional at the time, but the show soon became one of Bollywood’s most talked-about programmes.
Since its debut, Koffee With Karan has featured some of the biggest names in the film industry. The show became known for its candid conversations, personal revelations and the famous rapid-fire segment that often sparked discussions beyond the episode.

After nine seasons and more than 20 years of entertaining audiences, the famous Koffee couch is ready for its final round.
