Mumbai: The legendary singer of the Indian music world, Asha Bhosle, is no more. On April 13, her final rites were performed with full state honors at the Shivaji Park Crematorium in Mumbai. During the ceremony, she was draped in the Tricolour for her final farewell and accorded a ceremonial gun salute. Throughout the funeral procession, slogans of "Asha Bhosle Amar Rahein" (Long Live Asha Bhosle) resonated through the air.

Passed Away Due to Illness

Asha Bhosle was admitted to Breach Candy Hospital in Mumbai on April 11. She had been suffering from a chest infection. Her condition deteriorated during treatment, and she passed away due to multi-organ failure. The news of her demise sent a wave of grief across the entire nation.

Massive Crowds Gather for Final Darshan

Asha Bhosle's mortal remains were kept at her Mumbai residence, 'Casa Grande,' for the public to pay their final respects; a massive crowd of people and film stars gathered there to offer their tributes.

Among those who arrived to pay their final respects were Aamir Khan and Vicky Kaushal. Additionally, numerous other prominent figures attended, including Ranveer Singh, Tabu, Rakesh Roshan, Jackie Shroff, Helen, Udit Narayan, Sachin Tendulkar, Mohammed Siraj, Anuradha Paudwal, and Riteish Deshmukh.

Family Overcome with Grief

On this tragic occasion, the family is completely shattered. Her granddaughter, Zanai Bhosle, was inconsolable with grief. Celebrities present offered their condolences and tried to provide comfort and strength to the family.

An Immortal Musical Legacy

Born on September 8, 1933, Asha Bhosle began her singing career at a very young age. With her melodious voice, she carved a place for herself in the hearts of millions. Songs sung by her—such as "Piya Tu Ab To Aaja," "Dum Maro Dum," "Yeh Mera Dil," "Chura Liya Hai Tumne," and "In Aankhon Ki Masti"—continue to live on in people's hearts to this day.
