New Delhi: Actor Mouni Roy and businessman Suraj Nambiar have officially confirmed that they are parting ways after four years of marriage. The couple shared a joint statement on social media on Thursday, ending days of speculation surrounding their relationship.
The announcement came after rumours of trouble in their marriage gained attention online, especially after fans noticed that the two had unfollowed each other on Instagram and stopped sharing pictures together.

In a joint note posted on Instagram, Mouni and Suraj stated that they had mutually decided to separate and were handling the matter privately.
The statement read that they wished to “move forward on separate paths with respect and understanding” and requested people not to spread “false stories” or “fictitious narratives” about their personal lives.
The couple also criticised attempts to sensationalise their relationship, saying several rumours circulating online did not reflect the reality of their marriage. Comments on the post were disabled shortly after it was shared.
Speculation about a possible split had been growing over the past few weeks. Social media users noticed changes in the couple’s online activity, including the absence of recent photographs together.
Earlier on Thursday, reports also claimed that Mouni had been spotted wearing a large diamond ring amid rumours surrounding her personal life. However, the actor later issued the official statement with Suraj confirming the separation.

Mouni Roy and Suraj Nambiar reportedly met in Dubai in 2018 and dated for several years before tying the knot in January 2022. The couple got married in Goa in traditional Bengali and Malayali ceremonies attended by close friends and family members.
Over the years, the two frequently shared glimpses of their travels and celebrations on social media, becoming one of the most followed celebrity couples online.
On the work front, Mouni Roy was recently seen in The Bhootnii and is expected to appear in upcoming projects including Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai and The Wives.
