Param Sundri Review
Mumbai: When the trailer of the film 'Param Sundari' was released for the first time, its first glimpse looked quite convincing. Especially the music of the film and the beautiful locations of Kerala had raised the expectations that this film would definitely be a hit. Two months after the trailer release, when the full trailer came on August 12, it also seemed interesting and the expectations of the audience remained intact.
However, comparisons with 'Chennai Express' started with the trailer itself, but let me clearly say that this film is not at all like 'Chennai Express'. That film had many different aspects, whereas here the makers did not show that much effort. It is surprising to know that the story of this film has been written by three writers together, but still it does not have the power to make it better. The story may be simple, but it could have been presented in a better way.
Sidharth Malhotra and Janhvi Kapoor’s Param Sundari release date out; Click here for details
The story is very simple. Delhi boy Param Sachdev (Sidharth Malhotra) asks for help from his father, in return for which his father asks him to complete a challenge. To complete this challenge, Param goes to Kerala with his friend Jaggi (Manjot Singh). There he meets Sundari (Janhvi Kapoor) and then many incidents happen in which both of them get caught. What happens in the end, you can guess yourself.
A glimpse of Param Sundri
Talking about direction, this formula is often followed in Bollywood romantic films-two people meet, fall in love, then the story moves forward with marriage or some twist. Being a director and writer, it was Tushar Jalota's responsibility to make it interesting, but he failed in this. The audience starts getting bored while weaving the story in the first part of the film. The second part brings some life, but by then it is too late. There is no special magic in Tushar's direction, rather the beauty of the film remains due to the locations of Kerala, for which the cinematographer should get more credit.
New parents Kiara Advani and Sidharth Malhotra return home with baby girl
This film can be watched once because of Siddharth and Janhvi's chemistry, light comedy and excellent songs. But do not have expectations like 'Saiyaara', 'Chennai Express' or 'Two States'. This film is different from them. Leaving aside the story, you can definitely see the beauty of Kerala.
