Ramayana Trailer Out
Mumbai: The highly anticipated Ramayana trailer is out and here are your first looks at Nitesh Tiwari’s much awaited retelling of this epic in the form of a movie. Starring Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Rama, Yash as Ravana and Sai Pallavi as Sita, the movie is sure to be an enthralling visual treat with amazing visual effects and musical scores.
The four-minute trailer gives an insight into the rivalry between Rama and Ravana. It highlights many locations, such as Ayodhya, Lanka, and other iconic sites from the age-old story.
This trailer showcases Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Rama and depicts his journey as the prince who gets exiled and transforms into a fearless warrior. Meanwhile, Sai Pallavi is cast as Sita with touching scenes emphasizing their relationship until the movie moves into exile mode with a fight against evil.
Yash steals the show in this trailer as Ravana, showing off his commanding screen presence in this villainous character. His elaborate armor, intense facial expressions and his personality set the stage for an epic showdown in one of the biggest showdowns in Indian movies.
Among the many features that are prominent in the Ramayana trailer, its stunning scale cannot be overlooked. Huge battle sequences, creatures from mythology and the golden city of Lanka have been recreated through VFX by DNEG.
The background music of the trailer, which has been created by Hans Zimmer and A.R. Rahman, adds another dimension to the trailer.
Other than Ranbir Kapoor, Yash and Sai Pallavi, some of the names featured in the film include Sunny Deol who has been cast as Lord Hanuman, Ravi Dubey as Lakshman, Lara Dutta as Kaikeyi, Rakul Preet Singh as Shurpanakha, Kajal Aggarwal as Mandodari, Arun Govil as King Dashrath, Vivek Oberoi, Kunal Kapoor, Adinath Kothare and Anupam Kher.
Namit Malhotra has produced the film directed by Nitesh Tiwari. The film is being considered one of the most ambitious films to have been made in India till date. With the release of the trailer, people's interest in the mythological film has reached unprecedented levels.
