New Delhi: Aditya Dhar’s film ‘Dhurandhar 2’ has achieved a phenomenal performance at the box office, crossing the ₹1000 crore milestone. The film continues to set new records and is receiving an outpouring of love from audiences. Remarkably, even 21 days after its release, the film's earnings show no signs of slowing down.
By 6:30 PM on its 21st day, the film had already raked in approximately ₹4.11 crore. During this period, the occupancy rate stood at around 12.2 percent—a figure considered strong for a film in its third week. The Hindi version contributed the highest share of earnings, while the film also maintained a strong foothold in the Tamil and Telugu markets.
The film opened with a bang. It earned ₹43 crore solely from paid previews. On its opening day, the film set a major record by grossing over ₹100 crore. Subsequently, on the second, third, and fourth days, the film continued its stellar run, consistently touching the ₹100 crore mark.
While film earnings often tend to dip after the second week, ‘Dhurandhar 2’ has defied this trend. Even in its third week, the film continues to earn crores on a daily basis. Although earnings saw a slight dip on the 19th and 20th days, the film's overall collection continued its rapid upward trajectory.
The film has performed exceptionally well not only in Hindi but also in Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Malayalam. While the Hindi version generated the highest revenue, audiences in the South also embraced the film with great enthusiasm.
In the film, Ranveer Singh stars as an Indian spy who infiltrates a gang in Pakistan. This storyline has resonated deeply with audiences, who found it to be highly thrilling and engaging. The presence of major stars such as Sanjay Dutt, R. Madhavan, and Arjun Rampal has further bolstered the film.
