Mumbai: Bollywood actor Ranveer Singh's film "Dhurandhar 2" is performing exceptionally well at the box office. After a strong start with paid previews, the film has set new earnings records in the first two days of its release, reaching close to the ₹300 crore mark.

Historic Collection of ₹100 Crore on First Day

The film created history by grossing ₹100 crore in India on its opening day. Significantly, achieving this feat has made it one of Bollywood's biggest openers. The Hindi version alone earned approximately ₹99 crore, proving its immense popularity.

Dominance Continues on Second Day

The film's earnings remained strong on the second day as well. According to reports, the film collected ₹80.72 crore in India on its second day. Overall, the film's net collection in two days has exceeded ₹226 crore, while the gross collection has reached approximately ₹269 crore. Although collections saw a decline of approximately 21 percent compared to the first day, this decline is considered normal.

Earnings to Increase Over Weekend

The weekend has now begun, which is expected to further boost the film's earnings. With increased footfall on Saturday and Sunday, collections could set new records. The film is benefiting fully from the strong buzz and positive response it has already generated.

Slow Pace in South Market

While the film is performing well in the Hindi belt, its collections in the South industry have been relatively slow. The film's earnings in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Kannada languages appear to be limited. Improvements in this market are expected in the coming days.

Left Several Big Films Behind

"Dhurandhar 2" has surpassed several major films in terms of second-day earnings. These include blockbusters like "Pushpa 2," "Baahubali 2," "KGF 2," "Jawaan," "Pathan," and "Gadar 2." The film became the highest-grossing Indian film on its second day.

Film on its way to breaking records

Given the film's momentum, it's clear that "Dhurandhar 2" could break many more records in the coming days. If this trend continues over the weekend and in the coming weeks, the film could become the biggest blockbuster of the year.
