Emraan Hashmi, Disha Patani Set For Dark Revenge Saga (Img: X)
New Delhi: The much-awaited trailer of Awarapan 2 has finally been released, bringing back Emraan Hashmi’s iconic character Shivam Pandit after nearly two decades. The sequel promises a mix of intense action, emotional conflict and a revenge-driven storyline.
Directed by Nitin Kakkar, the film also stars Disha Patani and Shabana Azmi in key roles.
The 1-minute 25-second trailer shows Emraan Hashmi reprising his role as Shivam, who returns with a powerful mission driven by revenge and unresolved emotions.
The trailer features high-intensity action sequences, dramatic confrontations and glimpses of Disha Patani’s character performing stunts and handling weapons. Shabana Azmi appears in a negative role, adding another layer of conflict to Shivam’s journey.
Awarapan 2 continues the story from the 2007 film, which ended with viewers believing that Shivam Pandit had died after being shot multiple times.
However, the sequel reveals that Shivam survived. The teaser showed Tibetan monks treating his injuries, with Shivam hinting at his return by saying, “Maut bhi ajeeb hai, usne mujhe chhua par apnaya nahi.”

The makers have already released songs including “Ve Junoon” and “Yeh Awarapan.” The soundtrack includes music by Mithoon, Jeet Gannguli, Amaal Mallik, Ankit Sachdev and Wasif Ahmad. The film will also feature recreated versions of popular tracks from the original, including “Tera Mera Rishta” and “Toh Phir Aao.”
Awarapan 2 is scheduled to release in theatres on August 14, 2026. The film will compete at the box office with Sunny Deol’s Batwara 1947. The movie has received a U/A 16+ certificate from the CBFC after nine modifications suggested by the board.
