New Delhi: Actor Mouni Roy has shared her perspective on health, fitness and beauty, offering a refreshing contrast to modern wellness trends. In a recent conversation on Beauty & Beyond with Monika, she spoke about her lifestyle choices, emphasising balance over restrictive diets.

Mouni made it clear that she does not follow fad diets or extreme eating plans. Instead, she prefers simple, home-cooked meals that provide complete nutrition.

She explained that her daily diet includes basic foods such as rice, dal, eggs for protein and leafy vegetables for iron. For her, healthy eating is not about restriction but maintaining consistency and nourishment through everyday food.

Rooted in Bengali Food Traditions

The actor also credited her cultural background for her eating habits. Coming from a Bengali family, she grew up with fish as a regular part of her diet. She noted that her parents and grandparents also followed similar food patterns.

Fish, commonly consumed in Bengali cuisine, is known for its protein content and omega-3 fatty acids, which are often linked to healthy skin and hair.

Skincare Built on Basics

When asked about her beauty routine, Mouni stressed that there are no complex secrets. She relies on simple skincare practices such as hydration and regular moisturising. She said that instead of following complicated beauty hacks, she focuses on eating home-cooked food and maintaining basic skin care habits.

Mouni also includes multivitamins in her routine, especially considering the demands of her profession, which requires long working hours and constant camera exposure.

Confidence and Inner Well-being

Speaking about beauty and confidence, Mouni said both are closely connected. She shared that self-perception changes daily depending on how one feels physically and emotionally. According to her, true beauty is not only external but also comes from kindness, happiness and inner balance.

Advice on Independence for Young Women

Beyond wellness, Mouni also spoke about career guidance for young women. She emphasised the importance of emotional and financial independence, calling it essential for long-term stability and confidence in life.
