Mumbai: Indian cricket star Smriti Mandhana made her first public appearance this week following the confirmation that her wedding to singer Palash Muchhal had been called off. The 25-year-old was spotted at the airport on Wednesday afternoon, marking the first time fans glimpsed her in public since the announcement.
According to videos shared by paparazzi on social media, Smriti kept her look understated. She wore a casual outfit paired with a mask, walked calmly to her car, and left without stopping for photographs. While photographers attempted to get her attention, she chose not to respond, maintaining a composed and private demeanour.

Smriti and Palash were initially scheduled to marry on 23 November. However, the wedding was delayed after Smriti’s father, Shriniwas Mandhana, was hospitalized due to a heart-related issue. Neither Smriti nor Palash addressed the situation publicly at the time, which led to widespread speculation and rumours about the status of their wedding.
On Sunday, Smriti posted a detailed statement confirming that the wedding had been called off. She requested privacy for both families, writing, “I am a very private person and I would like to keep it that way but I need to clarify that the wedding is called off… Please respect the privacy of both families at this time and allow us the space to process and move on at our own pace.”
