Mumbai: The investigation into the firing incident involving Bollywood actor Tiger Shroff in Mumbai's Juhu area has gained momentum with the first photograph of the suspected shooters emerging and police recovering the motorcycle allegedly used in the attack.
The incident occurred on Sunday evening, as the 36-year-old actor was leaving after playing a football match. Shroff escaped unhurt, although his driver Firdaus and an autorickshaw driver identified as Chauhan sustained injuries.
The photograph, reportedly taken near the scene, shows two men wearing white shirts. One of them is seen wearing a black cap bearing the Puma logo. Police are working to establish their identities and reconstruct their movements before and after the shooting.
Meanwhile, investigators believe a third accomplice was also involved. According to the available footage, one suspect fired several rounds, while the second appeared to attempt to shoot. The third man allegedly waited on a motorcycle to facilitate their escape.
Police have seized the two-wheeler allegedly used in the attack after the suspects reportedly abandoned it at Andheri railway station. Preliminary findings indicate that the vehicle is registered in Mumbai.
Investigators are examining its registration records, number plate, chassis and engine numbers. CCTV footage from the surrounding areas is also being analysed to trace the suspects' escape route.
According to reports, the forensic team has collected ballistic evidence to determine the number of rounds fired. Mumbai Police have deployed 15 teams, including Crime Branch personnel, to identify and apprehend those involved.
The Lawrence Bishnoi gang has reportedly claimed responsibility for the shooting and issued fresh threats against people working with Salman Khan.
Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis directed police officials to speed up the investigation. Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde later visited Shroff at his residence and said the actor had suffered gunpowder burns on his right hand. The investigation is ongoing, with police continuing efforts to identify and arrest the suspects.
