New Delhi: Fresh claims emerging from the investigation into the firing outside actor Tiger Shroff's residence in Mumbai have raised questions about whether other Bollywood celebrities may also have been under threat. According to information linked to the probe, the alleged shooters conducted reconnaissance at actor Aamir Khan's residence on three occasions before their attention reportedly shifted towards Tiger Shroff.
Investigators are examining the suspected movements of the accused, their alleged target selection and possible links between the incidents. However, the claim that Aamir Khan was part of the same attack plan remains subject to confirmation through the ongoing investigation.
According to details attributed to the investigation, the suspects allegedly stayed at a lodge near Aamir Khan's residence in Mumbai's Bandra area while monitoring his movements. They are suspected of visiting the vicinity of his home on at least three occasions to assess his routine and identify a possible opportunity to carry out an attack. The alleged plan reportedly failed to progress because Aamir Khan was occupied with shooting commitments and did not leave his residence frequently, according to the information cited in the report.
The episode is also being viewed in the context of an earlier threat reportedly received by the actor on social media. However, investigators would need to establish whether that threat was connected to the alleged reconnaissance or the firing incident involving Tiger Shroff.
Investigators are also examining claims that the suspects subsequently focused on Tiger Shroff. His regular activities, including visits to the gym and playing football at a park in Juhu on Sundays, allegedly made his movements easier to anticipate. The probe has reportedly raised the possibility that other Bollywood personalities may also have been surveyed. Details about any additional potential targets have not yet been fully disclosed, and the allegations remain under investigation.
The central question is whether Tiger Shroff was the primary intended target or whether the alleged conspiracy involved a wider plan directed at multiple celebrities.
The investigation has also focused on the firearms allegedly used in the incident. According to information attributed to sources, the weapons included a Turkish-made Zigana pistol and a locally manufactured firearm. One of the reported lines of inquiry is whether the locally manufactured pistol malfunctioned, preventing a shot from being fired at the side window of a car.
Investigators reportedly recovered two pistols and 10 live cartridges in Surat. The seized items were said to have been sent for forensic examination to help establish their connection with the firing and identify the weapons' supply chain.
Authorities are also investigating the alleged movement of weapons and the role of individuals suspected of transporting them to Mumbai. According to the information available, Delhi Police's Special Cell arrested four people identified as Kunal, Sumit, Radha and Babita, including two women from Sonipat. The women are alleged to have travelled by train with weapons and stayed at the Royal Rest House in Mumbai's Dadar area.
Police reportedly secured CCTV footage, the guest register and Aadhaar-related records from the establishment as part of the investigation into the suspects' movements and the possible weapons supply network. These materials may help investigators reconstruct the sequence of events and determine whether other individuals were involved in arranging accommodation, transporting firearms or coordinating the alleged operation.
A total of 11 arrests have reportedly been made in connection with the Tiger Shroff firing case. Investigators are continuing to examine the alleged conspiracy, the origin of the weapons, the suspects' movements and the possibility of other intended targets. The reported reconnaissance at Aamir Khan's residence has added another dimension to the case. The investigation will need to establish whether the alleged surveillance was directly connected to the attack on Tiger Shroff or formed part of a broader plan.
