New Delhi: Veteran actor and writer Piyush Mishra has voiced strong support for Dhurandhar: The Revenge, praising its storytelling while addressing the ongoing debate around whether the film carries propagandist undertones.

Calls Film ‘True Cinema’

Speaking at the Delhi International Film Festival, Mishra described the Aditya Dhar directorial as “cinema in the true sense.” He emphasised that while the line between cinema and propaganda can sometimes blur, the film does not fall into that category.

“You can’t call it a propaganda film,” Mishra said, adding that he personally enjoyed the narrative and execution.

The actor particularly highlighted the film’s writing, noting its gripping and layered screenplay. He lauded the intensity of the storytelling, which he believes keeps audiences engaged throughout.
