OnePlus 15 Launching Tomorrow: From camera quality to battery life; Everything we know so far

OnePlus is all set to unveil its next-generation flagship, the OnePlus 15 in China tomorrow, October 27, 2025. Following the OnePlus 13 released last year, this marks the company’s first major launch in almost a year.

While the device will initially debut exclusively in China, an Indian launch is expected in the coming months. Though OnePlus has kept most details under wraps, leaks and industry reports have revealed a substantial glimpse of what fans can expect.

Camera Upgrades: Triple 50MP Setup

Photography enthusiasts may find the OnePlus 15 particularly appealing. The device is reported to feature a triple 50-megapixel rear camera system, comprising a primary sensor, an ultra-wide lens, and a telephoto lens.

The setup could support 4K video recording at 120fps, allowing cinematic-quality handheld video. Compared to the OnePlus 13, users can expect sharper detail, faster image processing, and improved low-light performance.

Design and Display: Sleek, Premium, and Durable

Early images of the OnePlus 15 suggest a design closely resembling the OnePlus 13s, launched earlier this year. The phone features a “squoval” camera module on the back and the OnePlus logo etched neatly in the center. The frame is said to be made from microspace-grade nano-ceramic metal, offering a combination of durability and premium feel.

The phone is reportedly IP68 rated, making it resistant to dust and water. It will weigh around 211 grams and has a slim 8.1mm profile, making it both solid and pocket-friendly.

In terms of display, the OnePlus 15 is expected to sport a 6.78-inch AMOLED panel with a 165Hz refresh rate, promising smooth scrolling, enhanced gaming visuals, and an immersive viewing experience.

Power and Performance: Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5

Under the hood, the OnePlus 15 is rumoured to be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset, the company’s latest and most advanced processor. This promises a significant boost in performance, multitasking, and energy efficiency, making the device suitable for heavy-duty tasks such as 4K video editing, gaming, and productivity work.

The phone is also said to feature a new Max Engine camera system, internally known as “Lumo” in China, which could enhance real-time photo processing and dynamic range, taking mobile photography to the next level.

Battery Life and Charging: Big and Fast

One of the standout features of the OnePlus 15 could be its massive 7,300mAh battery, capable of lasting up to three days under moderate use. The phone will also support 120W wired fast charging and 50W wireless charging, a notable upgrade over the OnePlus 13, which lacked wireless charging support.

Launch Details and Expected Price

The official launch in China is scheduled for 7 PM Beijing Time (4:30 PM IST), alongside the region-exclusive OnePlus Ace 6. OnePlus is expected to showcase the phone’s major upgrades and highlight how it differs from last year’s model.

While global availability hasn’t been confirmed, reports suggest that the OnePlus 15 could reach India by mid-November, about two months earlier than the OnePlus 13’s international rollout. In India, the device is expected to be priced between Rs 70,000 and Rs 75,000, placing it firmly in the premium flagship segment. Interestingly, the 16GB RAM + 512GB storage variant may be priced slightly lower than its predecessor, offering better value for buyers seeking top-tier performance.

With a powerful new chipset, upgraded camera system, and massive battery, the OnePlus 15 could be one of the most competitive flagship smartphones in its category this year.
