New Delhi: Chief of Army Staff Upendra Dwivedi has been inducted into the International Hall of Fame at the US Army War College in Carlisle Barracks, United States, in recognition of his distinguished military career and leadership.
With this honour, General Dwivedi becomes the third Indian Army Chief to be inducted into the Hall of Fame, after former Chiefs General V K Singh and General Bikram Singh.
According to the Indian Army, General Dwivedi addressed faculty members and international officer-students at the War College, speaking on leadership, professional military education, and emerging global security challenges. An alumnus and Distinguished Fellow of the institution, he also engaged in academic discussions, reviewed advanced research projects, and interacted with scholars and faculty during his visit.
Ahead of his engagements in Washington, India’s Ambassador to the US Vinay Mohan Kwatra hosted the Army Chief at India House. The embassy highlighted that the visit follows recent trips by the Navy and Air Force Chiefs, reflecting sustained high-level defence exchanges between India and the United States.
Earlier, General Dwivedi was accorded a formal Guard of Honour at Fort Shafter in Hawaii during his visit to US Army Pacific, where he held discussions with senior US military leadership, including General Ronald P. Clark. The talks focused on strengthening defence cooperation and advancing shared strategic priorities in the Indo-Pacific region.
