New Delhi: A large Air Force aircraft met with an accident in Colombia. The crash occurred immediately after takeoff, resulting in a highly critical situation.
According to reports, approximately 110 soldiers were on board this military aircraft. The plane was transporting army personnel from one location to another.
The accident took place in Colombia's southern Amazon region. The aircraft was taking off from the Puerto Leguízamo area, which is situated near the Peruvian border. The crash occurred approximately 3 kilometers away from a populated urban area.
The crashed aircraft was a Lockheed Martin C-130 Hercules—a large military transport plane frequently used to transport troops and cargo.
Currently, the exact number of fatalities and injuries remains unclear. The Defense Minister has stated that an investigation into the causes of the accident is underway and that the situation will become clearer shortly.
