New Delhi: Deepak Miglani, currently serving as India's Ambassador to Sao Tome and Principe, has been appointed as India's new Ambassador to the Republic of South Sudan. He is expected to assume this new responsibility shortly.
Deepak Miglani assumed charge as the Ambassador of India to the Democratic Republic of Sao Tome & Principe on 4 December 2023. Before joining this assignment, he was holding the charge of Director (Passport Seva Programme) in the Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India, New Delhi.
During 2018 - 2021, he was the Consul General of India in Saint Petersburg, Russia.

Earlier, he had also served as the Consul General of India in Erbil, Iraq and as the Consul General of India in Kandahar, Afghanistan. His other foreign assignments include those of in Indian Embassies in Kabul, Bangkok, Ashgabat and Beijing.
At the Headquarters, he had served as Deputy Chief of Protocol (Facilities) during 2011-2013 and in various capacities in the External Publicity and Disarmament Divisions of the Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India.
Deepak Miglani did his Graduation from the University of Delhi.
Deepak Miglani is married to Seema Miglani and they have a daughter (Vandana) and a son (Aditya). His hobbies include swimming, trekking and reading.
