However, the researchers have disproved this speculation, as experts believe that the DNA of Hitler's family matches that of his own. This matches the Y chromosome data for men. If Hitler's ancestry were Jewish, meaning there was a connection to Kallmann syndrome outside of his family, the DNA would not match. Evidence of Mental Problems Also Found The DNA report also revealed that Hitler had a high risk of Kallmann syndrome. Furthermore, according to the researchers, his genetic profile showed a higher than normal tendency for conditions such as autism, schizophrenia, and bipolar disorder. However, the team states that any such health or mental condition cannot be considered a cause of Hitler's violent politics, mass genocide, or war crimes, nor does it serve as an "excuse" for his decisions. What is Kallmann syndrome? According to the Cleveland Clinic, Kallmann syndrome is a condition that affects the production of hormones that promote sexual development and the sense of smell. It can cause or prevent delayed puberty. This syndrome occurs when certain genes change during fetal development. Some people inherit these gene changes, but these changes can occur without a diagnosis. It may also be due to some unknown reason.
