New Delhi: Brazilian football star Neymar has once again earned praise for his humanitarian gesture off the field. According to a report by Venezuelan news outlet El Sumario.com, Neymar has donated USD 250,000 to support emergency rescue and humanitarian relief operations in Venezuela following devastating earthquakes.

The donation will reportedly help provide immediate support to affected communities, including food, clean drinking water, medical supplies, and temporary shelters for families who have been displaced.

The report further stated that 3,238 people have been injured, while 3,142 families have been displaced after losing their homes.

Rescue operations are still underway as emergency teams continue searching for survivors. However, rescue efforts have reportedly become more difficult due to continuous aftershocks and a shortage of heavy equipment.

The two earthquakes measured 7.2 and 7.5 in magnitude, and several smaller tremors have continued to hit the region since then.

Neymar Shares Emotional Message for Venezuela

Along with his contribution, Neymar expressed solidarity with the people of Venezuela and shared an emotional message.

“My heart goes out to the people of Venezuela,” Neymar said, according to the report.
