IIM Bengalore to set its campus in Indonesia: PM Modi

As part of his current Indonesian tour,prime minister Modi took the opportunity to announce opening of IIM Bengalore campus in Indonesia.This clearly explains global expansion of India's premier educational institutions.

Jakarta: Prime Minister Narendra Modi today announced that IIM (Indian Institute of Management) Bengalore will establish its campus in Indonesia.The Prime Minister said that the campus would greatly benefit the youth across the entire ASEAN region.

The annoucement was made during the Prime Minister's visit to Indonesia and during his joint press statement with Prabowo Subianto of Indonesia.The proposed campus will be established at Singhasari Economic zone (SEZ), Malang, Indonesia and is a lardmark step towards the internationalisation of India's higher ecosystem.

The annoucement marks another significant milestone in the global expansion of India's premier educational institutions. Building on the successful establishment of overseas campus by IIM Ahmedabad in Dubai, IIT Delhi in Abu Dhabi,and IIT Madras in Zanzibar,it underscores India's growing stature as a trusted global knowledge partner committed to advancing excellence in education, research, and innovation worldwide.

The IIM Bengalore primarily intended to serve Indonesian nationals,while also attracting participants from neighbouring Southeast Asian Countries. Participants in Indonesia will have opportunities to undertake acedemic immersion visits to the Bengaluru campus, enabling exposure to India's innovation ecosystem, industry and business environment.

The curriculum designed for the campus will set the agenda for future-ready leaders by incorporating five important elements of the emerging business landscape, namely: Global supply chains, Digital Transformation, Artificial Intelligence, Climate and sustainability and health care management.
