New Delhi: The conflict involving the United States–Israel alliance and Iran has entered its 31st day, with no signs of de-escalation. Tensions escalated further as Iran and Hezbollah launched coordinated attacks on key Israeli infrastructure.

Haifa Refinery Hit by Missile Strike

Iran claimed responsibility for targeting an oil refinery in Haifa. Visuals circulating online show a massive fire breaking out at the site, with thick black smoke rising into the sky following the strike. Authorities later confirmed that emergency services managed to bring the blaze under control.

Hezbollah Targets Naval Base

Alongside Iran’s strike, Hezbollah stated that it launched a barrage of missiles at a naval base in Haifa. The attack reportedly occurred around the same time as the refinery incident, suggesting a coordinated offensive.

However, it remains unclear whether the refinery fire was caused by a direct missile hit or by debris resulting from the interception of incoming projectiles.

Second Strike on Key Energy Facility

This is the second time the Haifa oil refinery has been targeted since the conflict began. The incident is particularly significant as Israel has only two major oil refineries, making such attacks strategically impactful.

Rising Tensions Across the Region

The latest strikes come amid intensifying hostilities, with Israel reportedly targeting Iran’s South Pars gas field in recent operations. Several petrochemical facilities in Iran have also been hit during the ongoing conflict, further escalating tensions in the region.
