New Delhi: Donald Trump has said that the United States is close to achieving its goals in the ongoing conflict with Iran while claiming that the country’s military strength has been significantly weakened.

In an address to the nation, Trump said the US would not allow its allies in the Middle East including Israel, to “get hurt or fail.” He also warned that American forces would continue strong military action over the next few weeks if it needed.

US Nearing Its Military Goals

Trump stated that the US military operation referred to as “Operation Epic Fury” has made the rapid progress in just one month. According to him the Iran's navy and air force have been largely destroyed, and its ability to launch missiles and drones has been “dramatically reduced.”

He added that key leadership structures, including those linked to the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, have been heavily damaged. “Our enemies are losing, and America is winning,” Trump said, adding that the US plans to “finish the job very fast.”

Warning of More Strikes

The US president warned that military action could intensify if Iran does not agree to negotiations. He said American forces may target critical infrastructure including power facilities in coming weeks. He also urged global allies to help secure the Strait of Hormuz, a key route for global oil shipments, which has been under threat during the conflict.

Why the War Was Fought

Trump defended the war calling it necessary for global safety. He accused Iran’s leadership of supporting terrorism and pursuing nuclear weapons. He emphasized that stopping Iran from developing nuclear weapons has always been a top priority for his administration. While he said “regime change” was not an official goal, Trump suggested that leadership shifts in Iran may have already occurred due to the conflict.

Claims About Iran’s Nuclear Program

Trump claimed that the US strikes, including an operation he called “Operation Midnight Hammer,” had destroyed Iran’s nuclear facilities. However, he also warned that the Iran had attempted to rebuild its program and was close to developing nuclear weapons. “A nuclear Iran is an intolerable threat,” trump said.

Impact on Oil and Global Economy

President blamed the Iran for rising global oil prices, accusing it of attacks on oil tankers. He called on countries to reduce dependence on Middle Eastern oil and secure shipping routes. At the same time, Trump said the United States remains strong economically and is capable of handling disruptions, highlighting its position as a leading oil and gas producer. Praise for Regional Allies.

Trump also praised several Middle Eastern countries including Saudi Arabia, Qatar, the UAE, Kuwait, and Bahrain for supporting US efforts during the conflict.

Trump Signals War Ending Soon”

Trump concluded by saying that while diplomacy was his preferred option, military action became necessary after failed negotiations. He warned that the situation could escalate further if no agreement is reached but expressed confidence that the conflict would end soon.
