New Delhi: Iran’s state-linked media has released a short video of Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei amid growing speculation about his health condition and prolonged absence from public view.
The 12-second clip was shared by Mehr news agency, showing Khamenei meeting with advisers and officials.
The undated video was presented by Iranian media as the first recent appearance of Mojtaba Khamenei. The footage shows him engaged in discussions related to national strategy and regional developments.

The release comes after several reports claimed that Khamenei’s health had deteriorated significantly. Some foreign media outlets suggested that he was in a critical condition and raised questions about his future role in Iran’s leadership.
Mojtaba Khamenei has remained away from public events since the beginning of the US-Iran conflict earlier this year. His absence from important occasions, including his father Ayatollah Ali Khamenei’s funeral, further intensified rumours about his health.
US President Donald Trump has also repeatedly commented on claims regarding Khamenei’s condition, adding to international attention surrounding the issue.
Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian recently stated that communicating with Mojtaba Khamenei had become difficult, though he described his presence as a source of strength for the country.
Reports have also claimed that Pezeshkian met Khamenei at an undisclosed location in Tehran under unusual circumstances. However, Iranian authorities have not officially confirmed any details about his health. The release of the new video appears aimed at addressing speculation, but questions regarding Mojtaba Khamenei’s condition and public role continue to remain.
