Harvard astrophysicist Avi Loeb’s team has identified a mysterious space object named 31/ATLAS rapidly moving toward Earth. Though still hypothetical, scientists caution it could be an alien craft, urging stronger global monitoring of potential cosmic threats.
Mysterious Manhattan-Sized Space Comet Heading Towards Earth
New Delhi: It has often been said that "the Earth is going to "end," sometimes due to a tsunami, sometimes a meteor, and sometimes due to global warming. But this time, the warning is not just a common rumor but a new research study by scientists.
Scientists have stated that a mysterious space object, as large as the city of Manhattan, is rapidly moving towards Earth. This object looks like a comet, but scientists believe it could also be something like an alien spacecraft.
This study was led by Harvard University astrophysicist Avi Loeb. His team found that this object, named 31/ATLAS, could reach close to the Sun by the end of November and
It is possible that it will then move in the direction of Earth. Scientists say that this object is so far away and fast that it cannot be properly observed with a normal telescope.
For this reason, it could cause a major event when it comes near Earth.
This mysterious object was first observed by the Asteroid Terrestrial Impact Last Alert System (ATLAS) telescope located in Rio Hurtado, Chile. According to the report, the width of this object is between 10 and 20 kilometers.
It is traveling at a speed of approximately 60 kilometers per second. That is, it is moving very rapidly towards us in space.
Scientists have acknowledged that this possibility is based only on theory (speculation). No concrete evidence has been found that this object is an alien spacecraft.
This research is entirely hypothetical, based only on observations made so far. However, the team says that if this prediction proves true and this object actually comes close to Earth, it could pose a significant threat to humanity.
Scientists also stated that even if this claim is not currently proven, it is essential to prepare to protect Earth from such potential threats in the future.
Millions of rocks, meteoroids, and comets orbiting in space could at any time become a threat to Earth. Therefore, space agencies around the world need to continuously monitor such objects and develop protective technologies.
In short, this research is not a frightening prediction but a scientific warning. Currently, there is no evidence that this object will collide with Earth but it certainly proves that monitoring every movement in space is crucial for both our safety and our future.
