New Delhi: Benjamin Netanyahu revealed that he had been diagnosed with early-stage prostate cancer but has since undergone successful treatment and is now in perfect health.
In his annual medical report, Netanyahu disclosed that a small tumor—less than one centimeter in size—was detected in his prostate during a routine check-up. Tests confirmed it to be early-stage cancer that had not spread to other parts of the body.
The 76-year-old leader stated that doctors presented him with two options:
Netanyahu chose to undergo treatment without delay. He remarked that his personal approach is to immediately eliminate any potential threat.
He explained that he underwent a series of minor treatments, following which the tumor was completely eradicated. Throughout this period, he continued to work and lead a normal life.
Netanyahu explained that he delayed the release of his medical report by two months to ensure it could not be exploited amidst the ongoing tensions with Iran and Lebanon.
Netanyahu urged the public to prioritize their health and undergo regular medical check-ups. He emphasized that early detection makes it possible to treat serious illnesses in a timely manner.
Prostate cancer is a common condition among men, particularly as they age. With timely screening and treatment, it can be completely cured—as demonstrated in Netanyahu's case.
