Pakistan is currently grappling with a severe economic crisis. Rising inflation, heavy debt, and a weak economy have further worsened the country's situation. In response to the Pahalgam attack, India launched ‘Operation Sindoor’ on the night of May 6-7. Under this operation, nine terrorist hideouts in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK) were targeted. These targets included the headquarters and training centers of Lashkar-e-Taiba and Jaish-e-Mohammed. These locations were used to plot terrorist attacks against India.
On April 22, a terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, resulted in the deaths of 26 people. In this attack, several terrorists opened indiscriminate fire on tourists. The TRF claimed responsibility for the attack and also shared a photo on the same day. This incident fueled anger among the Indian public and intensified resentment towards the terrorists.
