New Delhi: The Pakistan Embassy in Saudi Arabia has issued a strict advisory for Pakistani citizens travelling for Hajj and Umrah, warning them against begging, illegal fundraising, and violating visa regulations.

The embassy said that anyone found breaking Saudi laws could face serious consequences, including arrest, imprisonment, detention, and deportation.

In an official message shared for Umrah pilgrims and workers, the embassy urged Pakistani nationals to strictly follow Saudi rules and respect visa conditions during their stay.

Saudi Authorities Adopt Zero-Tolerance Policy

According to the advisory, Saudi authorities have adopted a zero-tolerance approach towards begging and unauthorised collection of money, especially around the holy sites of Makkah and Madinah.

Pilgrims have been advised not to seek financial assistance through illegal means and to use only authorised channels for any support or services.

The embassy also warned travellers against using unauthorised local services that may violate Saudi regulations.

Warning Over Visa Violations

The Pakistan Embassy highlighted that visitors must strictly follow the terms and duration of their visas.

Travellers have been advised:

• Not to overstay after visa expiry
• Not to engage in activities outside their visa category
• To comply with Saudi laws throughout their stay

Violations may result in legal action by Saudi authorities.

Embassy Shares AI-Generated Warning Video

To spread awareness among travellers, the Pakistan Embassy shared an AI-generated video on social media showing a person being arrested and taken into custody by Saudi authorities.

The video carried a message urging Pakistani pilgrims and workers to avoid illegal activities and follow the rules while visiting Saudi Arabia.

Millions Visit Saudi Arabia for Hajj

Saudi Arabia hosts millions of pilgrims every year for Hajj and Umrah. During the previous Hajj season, around 1,673,320 pilgrims arrived in Saudi Arabia, including 1,506,576 international pilgrims.

With millions of visitors travelling to the holy cities, Saudi authorities continue to enforce strict regulations to maintain security and order.
