‘PoK will one day say, ‘I am India too’: Rajnath Singh sends strong message to Pakistan from Morocco

During his historic Morocco visit, Defense Minister Rajnath Singh declared PoK will rejoin India without conflict, and calmly addressed US tariffs, signaling India’s strength and commitment to sovereignty.

New Delhi: Indian Defense Minister Rajnath Singh is currently on a two-day visit to Morocco. This visit is considered historic, as he is the first Indian Defense Minister to visit Morocco.

During this visit, he addressed the Indian community and addressed two important topics—one was the issue of US tariffs, and the other was a statement regarding Pakistan-Occupied Kashmir (PoK).

Major Statement on PoK

Rajnath Singh made a special mention of Pakistan-Occupied Kashmir (PoK) in his speech. He said,

"PoK will automatically join India; we don't need any attack for this. The people there will themselves say that they are Indians."

He also recalled that five years ago, he had predicted that PoK would return to India. Now, voices of support for India are rising among the people there, which has further strengthened his belief.

A Calm Reaction to US Tariffs

The Defense Minister also responded to the US's imposition of a 50 percent tariff on India. An additional 25 percent of this duty was imposed as a penalty.

He stated that India deliberately refrained from reacting immediately because: "People who are generous and large-hearted do not react immediately to anything." This statement also signaled to the US that India, while appearing calm, is not weak.

 

Impact on India-US Relations

Amidst this statement, External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar and Commerce Minister Piyush Goyal are in the US, where they are scheduled to meet with US Secretary of State Marco Rubio. This meeting is considered crucial for the India-US trade agreement and resolving the tariff issue.

Significance of the Morocco Visit

Rajnath Singh's visit is significant in several ways as he is the first Indian Defense Minister to visit Morocco. This visit is considered a major step towards promoting India-Morocco defense cooperation. During this period, he will hold bilateral talks and discuss strategic and defense-related issues.
